Hazards of the jog

I sure was braving the elements when I went for my final training run before the mighty 5km this Saturday. It was one of those moments when my "fight or flight" instinct was put to use - do I power through the slight breeze and impending drizzle or do I retreat through the security of my front door and settle back on the couch?

I read this morning that we humans will walk about 100,000 miles, or four times around the earth, during our lives. Best we don't do it in uncomfortable shoes, I suppose.

The first step

In a bid to fit in with English ways, I've spent long afternoons at the pub, eaten roast dinners with all the trimmings, and regularly parked up on the couch to watch soaps.
