    Man held over Finchley murder
Kuye will appear at the Old Bailey on August 15
Kuye will appear at the Old Bailey on August 15

The man charged with the murder of a Finchley woman has been remanded in custody.

Kayode Edward Kuye, 44, who is unemployed and of no fixed address, appeared at Brent Magistrates' Court on Saturday, charged with killing a woman in her 60s at a flat in Station Road.

The discovery of the woman, thought to be Kuye's mother, was made after a man was arrested near the car park of Finchley Central Tube station at about 2.30am on Friday.

Police were alerted to the scene after maintenance workers spotted a man acting suspiciously.

Kuye will remain in police custody to appear at the Old Bailey on August 15.
