Edgware Tube station closed for improvements

Passengers on the Tube this weekend may encounter delays as part of the network through the borough is closed due to the multi million pound investment programme.

The Northern line will be partly suspended between Burnt Oak and Edgware all weekend while station improvement work is carried out.

A replacement bus service will operate between the two stations, with Edgware station remaining closed all weekend to facilitate the work.

London Underground is undertaking the major programme of renewal as part of Transport for London's (TfL) £10 billion Investment Programme.

A spokesman for TfL said: "Tube, London Overground and Docklands Light Railway improvement works will inevitably result in some disruption for passengers, but TfL is working hard to provide information and alternative travel options.

"The work is essential to provide for London's growing transport needs now, and into the future.

"TfL is urging all Londoners and Tube, London Overground and DLR passengers to "check before you travel" at weekends, allowing extra journey time where necessary."

For more information on weekend disruptions, visit TfL's website at www.tfl.gov.uk/tubeworks.
