The husband of a special constable stabbed to death outside her home two years ago has been found guilty of her murder along with two other men.

Fadi Nasri, 34, was accused of organising his wife's killing in May 2006 allegedly because he was having an affair and needed to pay off debts.

The self-employed hairdresser bled to death after being stabbed in the leg outside their marital home, in Sudbury Avenue, Wembley.

Mr and Mrs Nasri had been celebrating their third wedding anniversary on the night she was killed.

Self-employed Nasri, who had been living with his wife in Wembley, moved to Alderman Court, Constable Close, Friern Barnet, after her death.

A second man, Roger Leslie, 38, of Chesterfield Flats, Bells Hill, Barnet, was also found guilty of her murder along with Jason Jones, 36, of Hathaway Crescent, Manor Park.

Another man, Tony Emmanuel from East Ham was found not guilty.

Sir Ian Blair, Met Police Commissioner, said: "This was a long and thorough investigation and I hope the jury's finding of guilt will provide some level of closure for Nisha's family.

"It is a tragedy that a young woman who willingly gave up so much of her valuable free time to work as a police officer in her local community lost her life in this awful way. Her death has been a huge loss to her family, friends and to the Metropolitan Police Service which she served so enthusiastically."

The jury returned a majority verdict on the sixth day of deliberations.

The men will be sentenced on June 20.
