Charities and volunteers from across north London, Britain and oversease were honoured at an awards ceremony for "shining a light".
Volunteers from the Jewish community were joined by their Muslim, Christian, Hindu and Sikh friends and neighbours at the Mitzvah Day Awards at South Hampstead Synagogue on April 11.
Mitzvah Day is the annual Jewish day of social action, founded by Laura Marks CBE, that encourages people to help others in different acts of kindness.
South Hampstead Synagogue, the JW3 FoodBank in Finchley Road, Woodside Park Synagogue and Sufra NW London Community Kitchen, in Brent, were among the winners.
Rachel Ucko, head of Jewish living and community at Kisharon Langdon, and Sufra chef Jasvinder Singh won outstanding individual prizes.
The union of Jewish Women in Johannesburg, South Africa, and Maccabi Ukraine won prizes for an outstanding international Mitzvah Day.
Labour Party leader and Holborn and St Pancras MP Sir Keir Starmer was one of the many guests.
He said: “Never has it been more important to show kindness, give back and make a difference to the local community.”
Mitzvah Day CEO Stuart Diamond said: "Mitzvah Day shines a light on the heroes in our communities – the volunteers who dedicate themselves to service and the charities they empower.
"Together, they build bridges of understanding, tackle urgent needs, and make a lasting difference. Their stories inspire us all to embrace the power of collective action and create a kinder, stronger world."
