This letter refers to a report in the Free Press property section on February 24 about the future of a field at Lodge Lane, Little Chalfont, based on information given by Chiltern District Council.

UK Land Investments Group does not own the site at Lodge Lane, Little Chalfont, in the Chiltern District, nor is it engaged in any dispute with the local authority there as was stated in last week's front page Property article, headed Another plot appears on the local landscape'.

UK Land Investments Group is a reputable company with an extensive planning team and legal team in place to ensure that the planning application process is conducted as efficiently as possible.

As the largest land investment organisation in the industry the planning applications for a selection of our sites are made in conjunction with national house builders and we are therefore careful not to hinder the planning application process in any way. Our sites are invariably left free of obstruction.

Our core business activity is the purchase and sale of land in strategic locations with a view to obtain planning permission on such sites in the medium term. Our in-house Planning Department consists of qualified town planners and surveyors with many years of experience with national house builders and is dedicated to making prudent purchases and successful planning applications.

Favourable relationships with local authorities and local communities are an essential part of the planning application process. Our policy is to establish positive dialogue with local authorities from an early stage and to formulate planning proposals that take account of the community's housing, recreational and commercial needs.

Charles Wilson, UK Land Investments Group
