A group of New Barnet residents are protesting against what they say is the unfair zonal system on London's public transport network.
New Barnet railway station and High Barnet Tube station are in zone 5, but some residents say this is unfair when similar stations at the end of lines south of the Thames are only in zones 3 or 4.
Morden, at the opposite end of the Northern Line to High Barnet, is in zone 4, while Wimbledon, at the end of the District Line, is in Zone 3.
Elizabeth Wardle, of the Lyonsdown Residents' Group, said: "Just one look at a Tube map tells you this is unfair."
Amanda Brown, of Artesian Grove, Barnet, agrees. "I've always thought about the discrepancy between stations in the north and south, and it seems wrong," she said. "It's worth at least trying to get it changed."
A spokesman for Transport for London, which is responsible for the zonal system, said: "The zonal system goes back to 1983. There has been some re-zoning, for example the last time it was done was in 1998 on the Met Line, but there are no plans to change the zones at the moment."
